Phase Biolabs has an ambitious goal: help upcycle one gigaton of CO₂ by 2050.
Backed by Y Combinator, the team is developing a fermentation process that uses proprietary microorganisms to turn raw CO₂ into chemicals and e-fuels, designed to bolt onto existing industrial infrastructure.

"They modernized our website through an iterative process that delivered exactly the outcome we wanted, while adding valuable input along the way. Patrik is professional, easy to work with, and communicates well. They went above and beyond to bring our vision to life."

David Ortega
Co-founder at Phase Biolabs
The website hadn't been meaningfully updated since 2022. Not because the team didn't understand its importance, but because building a synthetic biology company leaves little time for rebuilding a website.
The result was a digital presence that undersold what was happening behind it.
The technology was difficult to grasp quickly. Important credibility signals were buried. And for investors, partners and potential customers encountering Phase Biolabs for the first time, that shaped perception before a conversation even started.

The goal wasn't to decorate the existing website. It was to make Phase Biolabs' technology, credibility and ambition come through faster.
We worked iteratively with the team, improving the hierarchy, surfacing proof and modernizing the visual experience while keeping the complex technology understandable.
